Got my RFE finally. It is for an employment letter. They gave me until 3/19. (RFE was generated on 2/13)

Got my wife's RFE today ( sent to the lawyer who scanned it for us). My wife apparently forgot to sign the medical form before the physician sealed it. We need to go back to the physician have it signed in his presence and have it sealed by him again. Not a big deal I guess.

Dear friends, why do you seek to start bashing your country at the first opportunity you get. THere are people in the Indian Govt who are negotiating on your behalf to make sur you get your money back.
THen on the question of paying bribes to get money out of PPF - something is better than nothing. Why complain. If it is so bad, go back and fight to fix the system, otherwise stop maoning. India is the only country that will welcome you if you are kicked out of here. I remember i used to pay 50 INR per ticket for a railway seat, now i go online and book a ticket. Things change they take time and patience.
Only those people who have NEVER bribed anyone to get stuff done illegally, or out of turn should speak. And i know there is no one, since you are in US and came on a passport and we all know how passports are obtained.
You left india, want to stay away, so leave it alone. When you are kicked out of everywhere, the doors will still be open, just keep some cash for the gatekeeper.
Lets discuss whether this swap will be possible or not, or what the loopholes are.

Believe it or not, I was about to open a thread like this. And here is the worst part, my AP has been approved 10 days ago, and so far neither the online status changed to approved nor i have received the approval copy. 2 ways I found out my AP was approved was through my local congressman and I took an infopass appointment. In the info pass appointment when I asked what is causing the delay in sending an approved AP, the officer says, if you did not get the approval notice in 45 days, call us back. This after waiting for more than 90days from the date of application. So, its not there until you have it in hand. Merely getting an approval these days is not enough, since they take anywhere upto 45 days to send the approval to you.

BTW: "sub prime" has nothing to do with the real estate market or the location of the house. It is a financial term to describe a "risk" category invented for the layman. People who got loans even though they do not have the 'prime' credit rating and paid zero down payment are the ones who are walking away from their houses. These foreclosed houses can be anywhere and probably in better locations than not, as their prices would not have precipitously climbed during 2003-2006 crazy years.

A lot of these come from the Low Income Group and were sucked into the ARM with 5 yr fixed and variable therafter. They usually don't buy homes in a $500,000 community. They bought houses in a 150K community. Most of the houses in those areas are not what a typical, highly skilled immigrant earning good money would be interested in buying. Atleast not in my area. But you are right. These houses could be in good areas too. With 12 million foreclosed homes, say 6 million are in good areas and with 500K immigrants in line, perhaps buying 250K houses, its about 4% of the foreclosure market. Now tell me, how can that help the economy?

I have got a job offer & this employer has few pre-approved labors which he offered me if I join him.
I am on H1B visa since 3.5+ years & I am looking for the company to get my GC as soon as possible. I have BS + 10 years of IT experience in India/ USA/ UK, as Software Engineer/ Solution Architect / Project Lead/ Project Manager / Sr. PM etc.
I want to know :
1. Is it possible to use this pre-approved labor for me... if I have all matching skills & experiences to show in my resume (experiences/skills gained before that approval date of that labor)...? This approved labor shows the name of their previous consultant.
2. Is it necessary to file the labor substitution by the employer...if I want to use that approved labor...?
3. Is it possible for this employer to directly file my I-140 against this approved labor...?
4. What are the info/proofs to verify that this employer is really filling my I-140 against this labor... ? (This employer has their attorney & I could not have better communication with their attorney)
5. This employer is a consulting company...(desi) & they asked me to sign a financial agreement to repay their expenses on labor substitution/I-140/I-485...if I will leave them early. ...Is it legal to ask for such kind of agreement...?

Imagine, given the huge retrogression how many countless times we will be refiling our EADs ad APs if we don't act now.
Many people are blissfully enjoying the fruits of labor of some very dedicated IV member who selflessly participated in San Jose rally and flower campaign. These efforts were instrumental in the July visa bulletin reversal. Isn't it time we all stood up for our rights and make a strategic impact through a legislative change rather then just be satisfied with a tactical July visa bulletin reversal win?
I can't talk enough about how vital it is for you to act now. Presidential race will kick in after October/ November time frame. Our window of opportunity is short. Lets help ourselves!

I firmly believe that you should not let go this company who screwed u....first and foremost hire a good immigration lawyer (i know it will cost some $$$)....but its important...and discuss with him your case...then sue that bastard company and let him have sleepless nights for couple of months....
Its fraud for the company to accept money for filin 140/labor....they will be screwed more for that...u can mention that the company told u that each employee pays his own costs....and hence u gave him money

my lawyers filed for AOS (for my wife and me) on july 2nd in NSC. still dont have any reciepts/ead/ap etc. i have no idea why. my i-140 was approved in TSC. i was hoping that i'd get the reciepts since everyone seems to be getting them!
