I have never thought about slogans. Will keep that in mind. What is the deadline?
We need a slogan that mentions H1B's contribution to Social Security. I have not been able to find an article that mentions it. There are lot articles that mention undocumented workers contribution in billions. Just imagine how much we must have contributed and NO ONE mentions it
also scan through the vivek wadhwa report and pick a few lines to use as slogans from it. we need it this long weekend. Franklin is working on collecting them and finalizing it. we are running short on good slogans

You can change you job after 180 days with an approved i-140. And job description and duties should be same or similar. So would you say the job duties are same/similar?
Does that mean 180 after the I140 is approved or 180 after the RN of the I485 as long as the I140 is approved? (Even if it has been approved for only 2 months)

I too thought that it could be a hoax call. But When I discussed with my employer and came to know the name of the person who called me is same as that of person who visited our employer 2 months back, then I realized that it is not a hoax call.
But I really don't understand what was the purpose and why I got such call and why he did not show up. Till now there is no communication from the officer.

I am exploring the possibility of making the Inter-filing. I have been speaking to some well known, street-smart attornies. One mentioned that the "Priority Date" is decided only upon approval of I-140. He also wrote that for keeping the earlier priority date, the 2nd I-140 application (new) should be filed along with copy of the approval of the first I-140.
In your case, it appears that you did not send the approval copy of the first I-140 along with 2nd I-140 application.
Probably, you can send the approval of EB-2 I-140 with earlier PD, along with I-485 receipt copy to the Service Center and ask them to allot the earlier PD. Please take the assistance of attorney for doing this.

Negative testimony can be used by some to harp on issues or get some leverage. However let the truth be there. Not everyone will be happy with legal immigration reform. But in the end, support for these reform is good from business and the immigrants and they are the ones impacted. So I dont think whether republicans or democrats they will politicize the issue. He is considered among the future generation of leaders in america by the media. He is a front runner for vice president. He is the best political resource that could be used by IV. But he would not do anything as that would affect his image as a conservative republican. He doesnt understand the pain suffered by many who are not born here like him but are raised here (as white as he is), waiting for their GC as a dependent with the fear that if they turn 21 they will be deported seperating them from their families.

According to the 2005 memorandum, it was possible to change employers even if the 140 was not approved. But it was clear that an RFE that was not responded to, would deny everything.

It is similar. The key words are "Design, develop, test .....maintain.... etc.." Look up the O*net code for 15-1031.00 - Your L/C will state this occupational code. This has a broad classification.
I am in the same boat - my old job says ""design, develop, test wireless and mobile applications using Pocket PC SDK, MFC, Win32 API ........" and my new job says "Design , develop, test finaicial system applications using VC++, MFC, Win32API ........" I ran this through some lawyers and they say it is fine.

A freind of mine came across a gentleman, who is here on work visa and he is facing a unique problem. He is married to two persons and wants to bring his whole family here in the USA. He was looking for answer if he can get both his spouses and kids here on H4 visas. Currently both of them and his kids are in India. Interesting hmmm :D

If you have current AP, you can travel while your AP renewal is pending. AP renewal will be from the date when your current AP expire.
In other discussions it is mentioned that if I-485 is pending & you are applying for renewal you don't need this letter.
BTW, i just read this in the I-131 instructions, so if i hold a valid AP now and apply for renewal and go to India and enter back using the existing AP, does it mean my pending I-131 renewal will be abondoned? :confused:

A) You depart from the United States; or
B) The person seeking advance parole attempts to enter the United States before a decision is made on the application.

they are talking about about nursing shortage,,, I"m an RN unable to work becuase of the current situation. RN educated in US .... and they talk about why there is nursing shortage. There are hundred nurses inside us unble to work becuase of this situation......sheesh... this is sad.
