Thanks Snathan for bringing up this issue.
I personally suffered due to this visa stamping. I was stuck in Delhi for four months due to administrative processing, almost lost my job, lost apartment, lost lot of money and now I am scared to go back for stamping again. My wife and I had to miss my father in law's funeral due to this fear.
I know few other folks who have been in similar situation and I can contact them to share stories.
I am willing to contribute both time and money for this initiative.

its a really good discussion, thanks to all people who have provided valuable information. I am a Consultant throughout my career and never lead a team but now planning to change gears and move into project management. When I goolged about the requirement to take the exam, Lot of PMP training institutes came up and they are charging about $2000 for training and they say its a 5 day course, guarantee to pass bhla bhla .... My first question is it required to take these training classes? if not how to become eligible for to take the exam, Please advice.
gcmaine. here is my answer to your question. I completed my PMP in 2008. Same like other folks here, thanks to USCIS, I have never been able to use it, since I am in eb3 and cant change job family. anyways here is my thought, in my opinion, this is just my opinion , keep in mind, those trainings are not at all necessary, if you have little bit of perseverance and time. Reason I am saying this is, with 2 kids, I was able to do this PMP certification myself, without any training. I took my own sweet time, spent 6 months studying in a library (2 hours every day on weekdays) and couple of hours in the weekends. I could pass this in one shot. And if I can do it, anyone can do it. All you need is perseverance and I am sure you will get through. PM me if you have any questions on how to prepare for the exam.

enggr ran away. He faked his experience(which most of the people do, I think to get GC) and tried to get EB2. Good and Inteligent IO catched it and sent RFE. Ran away for life.

Politics of a region / state has nothing to do with this discussion. The school which got shutdown did not have 100% students from one region or country.
FYI All the Hawla, Bofors, Fodder scams, 2G scam did not even occur from the mentioned one state alone !
The state has / had best IIT coaching facilities ( you call it a manufacturing shop, I don't care). Which produced lot of good engineers, who genuine have completed their education in this country and added value here.
It is unfortunate that some people knew what they were doing and others were frustrated with long wait (esp H4's who have been waiting for ever in the retrogression even though their spouses had approved 140's for years) and were told to pursue a shady option saying it was legal by scrupulous body shops wanting to make money. A spouse from no other country other than India and China has to wait this long to EAD, even all the spouses of substitute labor are working on EAD's.
Dont make a blanket statement about corruption, every region has its problems. Even in this country money from recovered from freezers of politicians. Corrupt & Dishonest people exist every place.

It looks like NC was completed. "Requirement review" means that they are trying to determine whether your marriage is still valid after all these years... Do not take it close to your heart, I found out that the USCIS letters are not very credible.

I left my previous employer more than 6 months back , he didnt paid me my final paycheck and i complained to DOL since 3 months...now wehn i asked for my W2 he said me to do whatever i feel and he is adamant at not giving it....moreover he said that his company has suffered losses worth 25K and his lawyer has sent a legal notice in this regard....and when i said how will we file taxes he says he wished for me to be out of status and go back.....
Since i have complained to DOL and also it is more than 6 moths since i left his organisation giving proper notice and have email confirmations, can he issue me legeal notice.....?please advice...
He is also saying that he has written to USCIS that I am fraud,....though I have been working in fortune 100 companies and now also working in reputed company and never lied for anything and was on project from day 1 since I came to States....? can USCIS cause problems for me in future...
Also, he seems to have closed his company..

You dont need W-2 for filing taxes all the time. As long you have paystubs and i shows howmuch you paid taxes federal and state..that is enough..Please go to HE block or any other CPA who can file taxes and he can help you..

Its a small good news. I got similar status update last year sometime in Aug/Sept before my I-485 was finally approved around end of Sept '08. My case was originally filed at CSC and then was transferred to NSC. I got this message when NSC finally picked up my transferred case, dusted it off and (I'm guessing) input it in their system. Most likely your cases went the similar route and now they have been finally picked up by the destination center for processing.

Ron is an immigration lawyer and not a 10k member organization such as IV so he does what he can, and in my opinion provides a good free of charge, service to the community, something that I don't see a lot of other people doing.

Has he ever stood up for immigrants other than writing strong worded posts? Give me examples as I do not know any? I may be wrong in my assumption.

Things seems to be so messy that Ron has very cleverly avoided any speculation about the coming up visa bulletin.

Ron Gotcher cannot predict the July 2008 visa bulletin, following is what he says.
Historically, about 40% of all immigrant visas/adjustment approvals take place in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year (July - September). The law prohibits the issuance of more than 27% of the quota in any of the first three quarters. All visas that are unused (ordered but not issued) must be returned for use in the fourth quarter. This is why we see most visas being issued in the July - September interval.
This year, there is anecdotal evidence that the government may have violated the law and issued more visas in the first three quarters than permitted by statute. No one really knows if this is true or just the result of inartful language used by government officials. No one has released any absolute numbers as to actual issuances.
If the government did violate the law, then all bets are off and there is no way to anticipate what might be in the works.
If they did not violate the law, however, we can infer certain things from what we have seen thus far. We know that the CIS has enough AOS applications in the existing inventory (backlog) to fill the annual quota four times over. If they were processing with any degree of efficiency, cutoff dates would be backlogged worse that what they were at the start of the fiscal year last October. They aren't.
Because the CIS isn't processing cases at a rate sufficient to exhaust the annual quota, the State Department has had to move cutoff dates forward in order to attract more applicants to file overseas with consulates. This allows the State Department to step up and process immigrant visa applications and help exhaust the quota.
We know that CIS processing has been deficient this year because we have seen forward cutoff date movement. If the CIS were processing large numbers of cases, not only would forward cutoff date movement be wholly unnecessary, it would be grossly irresponsible.
Given the forward movement earlier in the year, I certainly expected to see substantial movement in June. That did not happen. Why it didn't happen is unknown. It could be that the CIS, wishing to avoid a repeat of last year, dropped everything an adjudicated a massive number of cases. I doubt that happened because we haven't seen any evidence of it. Had they approved a huge number of cases in a short period of time, it would have been all over the Internet.
It could also be that, once again, the CIS has solemnly promised the State Department that they really will adjudicate a huge number of cases this time and all those other years where they made the same promise and then failed to follow through don't really count because this time they really mean it.
Whatever the reason for the lack of movement in June, July will tell us what is going to happen for the balance of the fiscal year. If there is no substantial movement in July, then we are unlikely to see much movement in August or September. If there is substantial movement in July, however, we can probably expect to see a retrogression in September.
The July visa bulletin should be out around Monday, July 14th. Let's see what happens.
